Ballet Amarillo Academy

Stephanie & Daniil Gaifullin have been a couple on and off of the stage for 17 years. They are still actively performing with their company and guest performing around the nation. They are also owners of Ballet Amarillo Academy, the official school of Amarillo Ballet.Throughout their careers they have worked with notable directors, ballet masters and choreographers of the ballet world. They have performed an array of the classical ballet repertoire, contemporary works and Balanchine ballets.They have worked professionally as a ballet couple with the Sarasota Ballet of Florida, Charleston Ballet Theatre and Ballet de Santiago in Santiago, Chile. They have performed in International Galas, guest and taught for various companies/schools around the nation and competed in International Ballet Competitions.Stephanie was the last student of Maestro Celli, who was the protégé of Maestro Cechetti. She is an alumni of the Nutmeg Ballet and graduate of the Stedelijk Instituut voor Ballet, in Antwerp, Belgium. She was the first American to train at the state school on full scholarship. She was a soloist with the Cincinnati Ballet, directed by Ivan Nagy. Daniil is graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Russia. At the age of 18 he became a principal dancer with the Donetsk Ballet in the Ukraine. He came to the USA in 1990 as a principal dancer with Ballet Mississippi. From their years of experience as ballet artists and teachers, they are passing onto the young ballet dancers of Amarillo all that they have been given. With hopes of a future professionally-paid resident ballet company - Amarillo Ballet.

Our daughter Hana has really blossomed with the teaching and performance experiences provided here at Ballet Amarillo Academy. A thousand thank you! Where else in this part of the world could she have found the grounding in pure classical technique that Stephanie and Daniil bring to this school? Both these teachers are lead dancers in their own right. Daniil was educated at the Bolshoi in Moscow; Stephanie's own teacher is in direct line from that greatest teacher of all, Cecchetti (who taught Nijinsky). Hana is so proud of her progress in this school and indeed improves visibly week by week. Her excitement and love of ballet increases apace! Ballet Amarillo Academy please hear our applause!!

Our family is very pleased with the instruction we receive at Ballet Amarillo Academy.
The instructors have a passion for the art of ballet and proper technique but they balance it well with a passion for teaching children.
